The Righteous Dead
“It is 1946. On a dark night in Kent, a plane lands in a field. It contains a single passenger, tasked with delivering a single message. A message that will have a devastating effect on every man, woman and child in the country.”
My first novel, The Righteous Dead, was published in January 2012. It’s an amazingly exciting moment for me personally, but I’ve had a lot of help from a lot of people. So, if you’re one of them, thank you. Your help and comments have been invaluable.
But enough of that, back to the hard sell!

The Righteous Dead is a fantastic read, I couldn’t put it down! James Gardner has a knack for keeping the audience engaged by keeping the plot moving at an an exciting pace, whilst still maintaining a depth to the characters sometimes lost in more action focused novels. I was worried I might be a bit squeamish for a zombie book, but actually the idea of this book isn’t to scare (like some horror books) but is more focused in a brilliantly written post-apocalyptic sci-fi genre. I would definitely recommend this book – it’s enjoyable throughout. I hope to see more work from James Gardner in the future.
